Maple Mountain waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 63-45 win over the Cedar Reds. This was payback for the Golden Eagles, who suffered a 74-65 loss the last time these two teams met.

Nash Jackson had a dynamite game for Maple Mountain, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Cole Erickson, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Cedar lost, don't look at Taylor Davis. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 16 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Everett Kelling, who put up eight points.

Maple Mountain's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Cedar, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Maple Mountain will welcome Spanish Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Spanish Fork's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. As for Cedar, they will venture away from home to take on Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar is facing Snow Canyon at the right time seeing as Snow Canyon is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
