Basketball Recap: Valley Falls Comes Up Short at Home Against Jefferson West

Valley Falls unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 56-25 loss at the hands of the Jefferson West Tigers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylee Heinen, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Kolbie Noel, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Valley Falls didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-37 defeat against Oskaloosa on the 10th. As for Jefferson West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-42 loss against Jefferson County North on the 10th.
