Softball Recap: Clear Fork's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Clear Fork won the last time they faced Highland and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Colts came out on top against the Fighting Scots by a score of 7-2.

Miley Shafer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hailly Thrush was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Melodie Blubaugh was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Clear Fork's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-8. As for Highland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Fighting Scots beat Clear Fork by a score of 8-7 on Thursday.
