Basketball Game Preview: Holdingford Huskers vs. Albany Huskies

The Holdingford Huskers will venture away from home to face off against the Albany Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Holdingford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 25 matchups -- so hopefully Albany likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Holdingford beat St. Cloud Cathedral 77-68.

Meanwhile, Albany put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Osakis, posting an 80-40 win. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Silverstreaks are ranked 116th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Albany pushed their record up to 27-0 with the victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. As for Holdingford, their win bumped their record up to 22-3.

Holdingford might still be hurting after the 81-59 loss they got from Albany in their previous matchup back in February. Can Holdingford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
