Volleyball Recap: Falls Lake Comes Up Short

Falls Lake lost against Eno River Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Firebirds fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2.

Falls Lake took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 17-25, 25-27, 25-16, 15-8.

Samuel Phelps paced Falls Lake's offense, picking up 15 kills. Phelps got some help from Malachi Voss and his 25 assists. Phelps was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Falls Lake's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Eno River Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Falls Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Triangle Math & Science on the 26th. As for Eno River Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Cardinal Gibbons on the 27th.
