Baseball Recap: North Brunswick North Brunswick Raiders vs. Spotswood Chargers

North Brunswick had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 1-9 to make it five. They lost 13-5 to the Spotswood Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Thursday.

As for Spotswood, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.

For Spotswood's part, Jack Korneski looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Carter Cumiskey was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Ryan Orth also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Looking ahead, North Brunswick will welcome Steinert at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Spotswood, they will head out to face off against Williamstown at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
