Soccer Recap: Hays Comes Up Short

Hays was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lockhart Lions. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 665th, while the Lions are ranked 77th).

Hays' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Lockhart, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Hays has already played their next matchup (against Glenn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lockhart is taking a road trip to challenge Cedar Park at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lockhart is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.
