Football Recap: Ardmore Tigers vs. Fairview Aggies
Ardmore entered their game against Fairview on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Ardmore Tigers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (28-6), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The loss was their first of the season.
Jake Harper had an outrageously good game for Fairview as he rushed for 309 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Harper's longest rush was for an incredible 84 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Jones, who rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
Ardmore dropped their record down to 3-1 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Fairview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ardmore will take on Russellville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ardmore's defense has only allowed 10.2 points per game this season, so Russellville's offense will have their work cut out for them.
