Basketball Recap: Lisbon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cedar Valley Christian last Monday, Lisbon came back down to earth. The Lisbon Lions took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Branch Bears. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bears: they've now lost five in a row.

Lisbon now has a losing record at 8-9. As for West Branch, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12.

Lisbon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-24 defeat against Calamus-Wheatland on the 24th. As for West Branch, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Morning Star Academy at 4:30 p.m.
