Leeds had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the McAdory Yellowjackets 11-1.

Conner Nelson was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and six RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grayson Ford, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Ty Bedell was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

McAdory is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Leeds will face off against Clay-Chalkville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for McAdory, they will challenge Mountain Brook at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
