After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Port Huron Northern, Marine City was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Sterling Heights Stallions 2-1. For Marine City, this counts as revenge for the 8-0 victory Sterling Heights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.

Caprii Fillar and Finley Hatcher scored both of Marine City's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Marine City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-2 record this season. As for Sterling Heights, they dropped their record down to 2-4-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Marine City and Sterling Heights will both be playing Marysville the next time they take the pitch. The Mariners will host the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Stallions will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
