There's no place like home for Whitko, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lakeland Lakers on Thursday, sneaking past 4-3. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 16-13 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Cassidy Skinner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Skinner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double.
