Colony and Wasilla are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Knights will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Colony is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Colony is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Chugiak, who was ranked 15th at the time (Colony was ranked eighth). The Knights had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since April 9th.

The team relied heavily on Boman Marks, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Hayden Sherman, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Wasilla unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against South Anchorage, falling 14-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Wasilla saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LaLo PaLomares, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Colony's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Wasilla, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4-1.

Colony took their win against Wasilla when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-5 score. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
