Softball Recap: Farragut Admirals vs. Heritage Mountaineers
After flying high against Gibbs on Friday, Farragut came back down to earth. The Farragut Admirals suffered a rough 8-2 loss at the hands of the Heritage Mountaineers on Friday. Farragut was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Heritage apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Addison Pressley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
On Heritage's side, Ellah Wheelon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Portyln Bennett, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Farragut's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Farragut will be playing at home against Maryville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to take on Lenoir City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
