Football Recap: Choctawhatchee Falls Short of Robinson in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Choctawhatchee couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They had to suffer through a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Robinson Knights. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Haidyn Spano had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 278 yards and five TDs while completing 90% of her passes, and also rushing for 53 yards and one score on only six carries for Robinson. Spano is becoming a predictor of the Knights' success: when she posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when she doesn't). Jasmyn Mitchner was in the mix too, providing Robinson with two touchdowns.

Choctawhatchee's defeat dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Robinson, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Choctawhatchee nor Robinson have any future games scheduled.
