Football Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Holliday, falling 71-6. While losing is never fun, Valley View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1129th, while Holliday is ranked 224th).

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Holliday, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Valley View will face off against Millsap at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Holliday, they will square off against City View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
