Basketball Recap: Miller School of Albemarle Piles Up the Points Against Eastern Mennonite

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Miller School of Albemarle). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Eastern Mennonite Flames 87-34. With the Mavericks ahead 50-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Shane Crissman was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 14 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Hunter, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points.

Miller School of Albemarle was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February.

With the victory, Miller School of Albemarle broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Eastern Mennonite, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Miller School of Albemarle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 73-51 win against Hargrave Military Academy on the 14th. Eastern Mennonite will take on Blue Ridge in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
