Birmingham has gone a perfect 10-0 against Taft recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Toreadors at 5:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Birmingham is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering El Camino Real just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Royals by a score of 2-1.

Taft had taken Cleveland down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Toreadors fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Taft can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 414th, while Cleveland are ranked 66th).

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-6. As for Birmingham, the loss was their first on the road, dropping their record down to 11-5-2.

Birmingham beat Taft 2-0 in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
