Baseball Recap: Nutley Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Nutley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 7-2 to the Seton Hall Prep Pirates on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Nutley got a good showing from Sean Fealey, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Benjamin McNeil was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Dominic Saladino, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Nutley has already played their next match, a 4-1 loss against Caldwell on the 3rd. As for Seton Hall Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against Livingston on the 3rd.
