Mt. Pleasant made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Deer Lakes, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Mt. Pleasant blew past Deer Lakes 11-1 on Monday. Considering the Vikings have won three games by more than seven  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jacob Kitz spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.
 At the plate,  Santino Marne was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.  Connor Drzal was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with five  RBI.
 Mt. Pleasant  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in three consecutive  matches.
Mt. Pleasant pushed their record up to 5-2-2 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Deer Lakes, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
