Basketball Recap: Westfield Prep Comes Up Short

Westfield Prep lost against Old Redford Academy last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Westfield Prep Warriors took a blow against the Old Redford Academy Ravens, falling 67-36. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Ravens are ranked 28th).

Westfield Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Old Redford Academy, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Westfield Prep will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bradford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. Westfield Prep is facing Bradford Academy at the right time seeing as Bradford Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Old Redford Academy, they will face off against Arts & Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Old Redford Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.
