Two dominant forwards in Elijah Eschmeyer and Clayton Jones are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Peak to Peak Pumas will head out on the road to challenge the Thornton Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Peak to Peak is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Peak to Peak is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Stargate School 85-62 on Thursday. Given the Pumas' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Eagles are ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Thornton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 71-59 to Mountain View.
Peak to Peak will have to contain Jones as he made an impact in Thornton's last game. He shot 4-for-4 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The match was Jones' 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Danso, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 16 points.
