Baseball Game Preview: Center Point Pirates vs. San Saba Armadillos

Center Point is on a four-game streak of home losses, and San Saba a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Center Point Pirates will look to defend their home field against the San Saba Armadillos at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Center Point fell victim to Johnson City and their airtight pitching crew last Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 16-0. The shutout was out of character for the Pirates seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Meanwhile, San Saba lost 16-1 to Johnson City on Monday. The match marked the Armadillos' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

San Saba saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Monreal, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

San Saba's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2. As for Center Point, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Center Point hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like San Saba struggles in that department as they've averaged .387. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
