Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maplewood). Everything went their way against the Glencliff Colts on Thursday as they made off with a 26-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Zoe Cantrell was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamyia Taylor, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.

Maplewood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .900. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Maplewood picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Glencliff, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-7-1 record this season.

Maplewood will welcome Hume-Fogg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glencliff, they will head out on the road to challenge Mount Juliet Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
