On Saturday, Basic faced Green Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went the Basic Wolves' way against the Green Valley Gators as the Basic Wolves made off with a 20-0 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Basic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jasmyne Johnson and HILDI PEREZ.

When it comes to explaining why Green Valley lost, don't look at Aundrea Velez. Despite the final result, she rushed for 92 yards on only ten carries.

Basic pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.9 points. As for Green Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Basic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-0 defeat against Mojave on the 20th. As for Green Valley, they will face off against Legacy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy's defense has only allowed 13.9 points per game this season, so Green Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
