The Pen Argyl Green Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Salisbury Township Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Everything went Pen Argyl's way against East Stroudsburg South on Saturday as Pen Argyl made off with an 11-1 victory. The Green Knights have beaten the Cavaliers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cavaliers has come to flipping the script.

Pen Argyl let Grace Weaver and Ashlyn Oessenick run wild. Weaver went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Oessenick got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Sampson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, everything went Salisbury Township's way against Weatherly on Tuesday as Salisbury Township made off with a 20-1 win.

Tessa Kemmerer and Jenna Swoyer were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Kemmerer didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Swoyer struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave Kemmerer a new career-high. At bat, Kemmerer went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Swoyer scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Salisbury Township got a massive performance out of Sophia Gunning, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Madison Peifer, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Pen Argyl beat Salisbury Township 7-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pen Argyl since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
