Volleyball Game Preview: Port Neches-Groves Indians vs. Nederland Bulldogs

Port Neches-Groves hasn't had much luck against Nederland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, Port Neches-Groves made easy work of Lee and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-16, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Nederland got the win against Beaumont United on Friday by a conclusive 3-0. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Nederland was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-7, 25-6.

Port Neches-Groves' victory bumped their record up to 26-13. As for Nederland, their win bumped their record up to 16-17.

Port Neches-Groves was able to grind out a solid victory over Nederland in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
