Baseball Recap: Laughlin Takes a Loss

Laughlin lost to Tonopah on Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars fell 7-3 to the Muckers. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adrian Ruiz was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

Laughlin's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Tonopah, they pushed their record up to 7-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Laughlin will square off against Sandy Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tonopah, they will challenge White Pine at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Muckers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
