Soccer Recap: Forest Hills Central Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Forest Hills Central has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 3-1 to the East Grand Rapids Pioneers on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Forest Hills Central came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while East Grand Rapids are ranked 97th).

Forest Hills Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-4. As for East Grand Rapids, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-6-3.

Forest Hills Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Grand Rapids, they will face off against Lowell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lowell will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something East Grand Rapids surely won't give up without a fight.
