Basketball Game Preview: Somerville Yeguas vs. Snook Bluejays

The Somerville Yeguas will venture away from home to face off against the Snook Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Somerville is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Somerville ended up a good deal behind Burton and lost 76-60. Even if the Yeguas couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, Snook hadn't done well against Mumford recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Snook walked away with a 55-48 win over Mumford. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bluejays as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Snook's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Somerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.

Somerville ended up a good deal behind Snook in their previous matchup back in January, losing 51-36. Can Somerville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
