Baseball Recap: Pershing County Comes Up Short

Pershing County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the West Wendover Wolverines, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Friday.

Logan Hunt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Diego Herrera also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Pershing County's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for West Wendover, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

While Pershing County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
