Soccer Recap: Middleburg Takes a Loss

Middleburg lost against Nease back in January of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Middleburg Broncos came up short against the Nease Panthers, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Panthers are ranked 147th).

Middleburg's goal came courtesy of Bryce Davis, which was the first he's scored this season.

Middleburg is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11-1. As for Nease, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4-2.

Middleburg will be playing at home against Orange Park at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Nease has already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against Bishop Kenny on the 11th.
