Softball Recap: Wilcox Comes Up Short

After flying high against Gunn on Saturday, Wilcox came back down to earth. The Chargers fell just short of the Los Gatos Wildcats by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Chargers have suffered against the Wildcats since April 20, 2022.

Wilcox saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Scott, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Wilcox has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Los Gatos, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-7-1.

Wilcox does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Los Gatos, they will welcome Mountain View at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2.6, the Spartans 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
