Volleyball Recap: Archie Williams Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

It's playoff time, and Archie Williams had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Cardinal Newman Cardinals by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Peregrine Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Archie Williams was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 18-25, 25-15.

Zachary Wulff paced Archie Williams' offense, picking up 38 kills. Wulff got some help from Max Brasler and his 45 assists. Wulff was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Archie Williams' win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-20. As for Cardinal Newman, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Coming up, Archie Williams will face off against Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Peregrine Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. Cardinal Newman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
