Baseball Recap: Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Central posted their closest victory since April 9th on Wednesday. They skirted past the Forest Hills Rangers 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Dragons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Central got a great performance from Coltin Harbaugh as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jay Hoenstine, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Troy McNichol, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. As for Forest Hills, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 victory against Bald Eagle Area on the 6th. As for Forest Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-0 win against Derry on the 7th.
