Volleyball Recap: Mercy Takes a Loss

Mercy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Soquel Knights. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 19-25, 25-15.

Mercy's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Soquel, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Looking ahead, Mercy will head out to square off against Harker at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Soquel, they will be playing at home against Harbor at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
