It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wendell had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the Declo Hornets 53-50. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Hornets back in February, they had to take a 53-48 defeat.

Jonathan Swainston was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-17 to rack up 20 points and four steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Wendell's points. Another player making a difference was Jarett Borges, who posted 12 points along with six boards and three steals.

Wendell is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. With the loss, Declo broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-2.
