Baseball Recap: False River Gators vs. Liberty Magnet Patriots
False River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the Liberty Magnet Patriots, falling 15-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 last Thursday.
Travis Fields and Cruz Pourciau stepped up to the plate in a big way. Fields scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Pourciau went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most hits Fields has posted since back in February. Matthew Gradfeo was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
