Baseball Recap: Greens Farms Academy Triumphs

Greens Farms Academy posted their closest win since April 6, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Greenwich Country Day Tigers 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Dragons: when they faced off against the Tigers on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

Mo Hood made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Greens Farms Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Greenwich Country Day, their record now sits at 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greens Farms Academy will venture away from home to square off against Brunswick School at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenwich Country Day, they will head out to take on Hopkins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
