Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Red Tornadoes vs. Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish

The Clinton Red Tornadoes will venture away from home to face off against the Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Things were looking good for Clinton after they put the first points on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 10-2 to Bishop McGuinness.

Vince Jones made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Jones is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Easten Powell also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Bishop McGuinness' win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-2. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
