Basketball Game Preview: Grandview Greyhounds vs. Ellensburg Bulldogs

Grandview hasn't had much luck against Ellensburg recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The two teams will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m.

Grandview is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Prosser on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Grandview was dealt a 76-41 defeat at the hands of Prosser. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Mustangs are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, Ellensburg put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 77-47 victory over Selah. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 20 points or more this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Grandview and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for Ellensburg, they pushed their record up to 21-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Grandview ended up a good deal behind Ellensburg in their previous meeting two weeks ago, losing 52-35. Can Grandview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
