Basketball Recap: Gold Beach Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Gold Beach faced off against Bandon on Friday. The Gold Beach Panthers were outmatched by the Bandon Tigers and fell 73-13. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Tigers are ranked 80th).

Gold Beach's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Bandon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Gold Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bandon, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cascade Christian at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
