Volleyball Game Preview: Tampa Prep Terrapins vs. Calvary Christian Warriors

Tampa Prep hasn't had much luck against Calvary Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Terrapins will host the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Tampa Prep sitting on seven straight victories and Calvary Christian on 12.

On Friday, Tampa Prep made easy work of Sickles and carried off a 3-0 win.

Tampa Prep never let Sickles on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian posted their closest victory since September 11th on Saturday. They skirted past Northside Christian 2-1.

Calvary Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 15-9.

Calvary Christian's win came from a few key players Tampa Prep will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Autumn Derksen, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last ten matchups. Olivia Badyna was another key player, getting nine digs and six assists.

Tampa Prep's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Calvary Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 21-1.
