Football Game Preview: Gaffney Indians vs. Eastside Eagles + How To Watch

The Gaffney Indians will take on the Eastside Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Gaffney's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Eastside has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Gaffney is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Wade Hampton: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Indians blew the Generals out of the water with a 39-0 final score. The contest marked the Indians' most dominant victory of the season.

Gaffney's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Banks Bouton, who threw for 136 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 62 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Justin Dawkins, who rushed for 67 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Gaffney didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ty McGill, Zion Dawkins, and Travon Young picked up one apiece.

Gaffney's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Gaffney didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Eastside in their previous matchup back in October, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Eagles' Peyton Schrader, who rushed for 129 yards and two scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 129 yards and one TD.
