Basketball Recap: Rich Piles Up the Points Against Kemmerer

Rich won the last time they faced Kemmerer and things went their way on Friday too. The Rich Rebels blew past the Kemmerer Rangers, posting a 74-35 win. That looming 74-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Leading Rich to victory were Drake Weston and Ridge Lundgren. Weston went 8 of 14 on his way to 22 points and three steals, while Lundgren went 6 of 8 on his way to 15 points along with five assists and three steals. That's the most points Weston has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Scott, who posted nine points.

The victory (which was Rich's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Kemmerer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Rich didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-54 win against Big Piney on the 11th. As for Kemmerer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-40 victory against Cokeville on the 11th.
