Basketball Recap: W.E.B. DuBois Academy Takes a Loss

W.E.B. DuBois Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 70-60 to the Fairdale Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 43rd).

W.E.B. DuBois Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Fairdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

W.E.B. DuBois Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Bullitt at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in W.E.B. DuBois Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests. Fairdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
