The Pueblo South Colts will venture away from home to face off against the Pueblo East Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pueblo South is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Pueblo South is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Pueblo County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Colts have suffered since March 8th.

Pueblo South saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damian Cordova, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. Cordova has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Pueblo East made sure to put some runs up on the board against Pueblo Centennial on Saturday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Pueblo South's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Pueblo East, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11.

Pueblo South was able to grind out a solid win over Pueblo East in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 7-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
