Baseball Game Preview: West Deptford Eagles vs. Audubon Green Wave

The West Deptford Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Audubon Green Wave at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. West Deptford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

West Deptford's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Clearview. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Cole McKenna made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

McKenna wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Juan Morales, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Audubon came up short against Bishop O'Connell on Saturday and fell 9-5.

Audubon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for West Deptford, their record now sits at 9-4.

West Deptford couldn't quite get it done against Audubon in their previous matchup on April 3rd as they fell 3-0. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
