Volleyball Game Preview: Edison Eagles vs. J.P. Stevens Hawks

The Edison Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the J.P. Stevens Hawks at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated (Edison has six wins dating back to last season, while J.P. Stevens has seven dating back to last season).

On Tuesday, Edison sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over North Brunswick.

Meanwhile, J.P. Stevens made easy work of Woodbridge on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The contest marked the Hawks' most dominant victory of the season so far.

J.P. Stevens' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-0.

Edison couldn't quite get it done against J.P. Stevens in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
