Dixie is 9-1 against Pine View since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Flyers will get right back to it and host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Dixie sitting on six straight victories and Pine View on three.

On Wednesday, Dixie didn't have too much trouble with Cedar as they won 65-51. Given the Flyers' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Reds are ranked 108th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Pine View beat Rancho 76-63 on Saturday.

Pine View's win came from a few key players that Dixie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Caleb Schmitt, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 21 points and six rebounds. His big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Ott, who went 9-for-12 en route to 18 points.

Pine View was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Dixie's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Pine View, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Dixie didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Pine View when the teams last played back in January of 2025, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win. Will the Flyers repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
